Biography
The Anniston Practice
Dr. Howell treats people of all ages. He does work with individuals, couples, families and groups. His practice includes assessment of emotional, psychological, mental and behavioral disorders. He provides his patients with counseling and psychotherapy to treat the problems and to heal the overall situation.
Dr. Howell uses a wide variety of treatment therapies including insight oriented therapy, Rational Emotional Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Treatment, supportive therapy, group therapy, family therapy and more.
Most insurances are accepted including Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Tri-Care, United Health Care, and many others. Due to the many differences in health care plans, coverages, deductibles and co-pays, the fee for the first few visits is collected until coverage is confirmed. For some insurance carriers, the fee may have to be collected in full until the deductible has been confirmed and met.
He is a member of the Alabama Psychological Association and of the American Psychological Association.
Dr. Howell�s philosophy of treatment is based upon the balance between the mind, the body and the spirit. He addresses all three components in his treatment methods.
